2-Fluoromethamphetamine (2FMA) is synthetic. This molecule is from the substituted amphetamine class. Molecules of these classes contain a phenethylamine core with a phenyl ring connected to an amino (NH2) via an ethyl chain and an additional methyl substitution at R _α (i.e. amphetamines are alpha-methylated phenethylamines). 2-FMA powder contains a methyl group (a substitution it shares with methamphetamine) bound to the terminal amine RN _by the amphetamine core. This product is the 2-position analogue of methamphetamine and the N-methylated homologue of 2-FA (2-fluoroamphetamine).
